General (Project Settings)

The General Project Settings are the most important and foundational settings for your project. They'll be used by many views, components, and elements of your HMI.

Project Settings

Description

This description will be shown on the Welcome Page, which helps your fellow team members get a handle on what this project is all about.

Customize Preview

Choose an icon and color that will be shown on the Welcome Page. This is especially helpful when you're juggling multiple projects at once. It makes it easy to quickly find the one you're currently working on.

Languages

Tell HELIO which languages you want to translate this project into. Also, be sure to set a default language that will be used when operators have not yet set a preference.

Devices

This group is where you can define the generic or specific devices that the HMI will be running on. You will be able to choose them within the preview to see how the current page will look on different output devices.

Unit Conversions

Define the unit conversions that will be available to operators in this device. For each conversion you define a source and target unit. HELIO will also suggest common conversions for you (e.g. ftmt) so you don't have to care about the math behind them.
