Guiding Operators

Providing guidance and handlebars to operators is especially crucial in HMIs due to the following reasons:

  • Operators possess different skill levels. While experienced operators who have been using a machine for years may not need much guidance, new and inexperienced team members will benefit from this support to make informed decisions.
  • Industrial Machines are quite complex creatures, comprised of numerous components that must function in unison, even though they are assembled by different suppliers. One of the main responsibilities of the HMI is to seamlessly integrate these parts, creating a unified product.

The guides in this series aim to assist operators through simplicity, while minimizing exposure to complexity.
